Every draw can be saved, shared as an image, or replayed later with the same players. BUILT FOR - Teachers splitting a class for group work or PE - Coaches organising training sessions - Camp and youth club leaders - Anyone hosting a game night FEATURES - Random team generation from any number of players - Choose the number of teams, or the number of players per team - Saved player library, reusable across sessions - Pre-assign players to specific teams - Edit generated teams: move, remove or add players - History of past draws, ready to replay with the same players - Share the line-up as an image, ready for any group chat - Available in English, French, Dutch, German, Italian and Spanish PRIVACY MakeMy Team works completely offline. Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Randomizer at 4.6 against MakeMy Team's 4.0. Randomizer also leads on ratings volume (270 vs 1). MakeMy Team's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (100% vs 81%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Randomizer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. MakeMy Team asks for nothing beyond the download.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Randomizer holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Randomizer has 270 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Randomizer's written reviews are positive against 100% of MakeMy Team's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Randomizer ships an update every 5 weeks, MakeMy Team every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 3, 2026 and September 9, 2026 respectively.
