All aboard for ABC Trains! ABC Trains turns early learning into a big, bouncy toy-train adventure for toddlers and preschoolers. A friendly voice guides every step, a chunky little train rolls up with the answers, and the whole world dances to the music when your child gets it right. WHAT YOUR CHILD WILL PRACTISE - Letters: find capital letters and little letters. As your child gets better, look-alikes such as b, d, p and q join in. - Letter sounds: "Which one starts with B?" Pictures of apples, balls, cats and more help connect each letter to its sound. - Numbers 1 to 20: spot the number, hear it, say it. - Counting: load ducks and cupcakes onto the train, or tap each one to count them out loud. - First sight words: 40 little words like "the", "see" and "look". - Colors, shapes and patterns: tap the red car, find the heart, work out which color comes next. TWO WAYS TO PLAY - Train Town: a little town your child can drive round. Every game has its own station with a giant signpost. Drive with the lever, or tap a sign and the train drives there by itself. - The Menu: a simple tap-a-tile menu if your child already knows what they want to play. RIDE AND CATCH Roll through a world and catch letters, numbers, shapes, colors, sounds or words as they appear along the track, in order, with a cheer for every one. Swap engines, toot the whistle, and switch between a chase view, the driver's cab and a bird's-eye view. DELIVER PASSENGERS Pick up animal friends at one station and take them to another. Duck, cow, lion or zebra - everyone gets where they are going. 11 WORLDS TO EXPLORE Sunny Meadow, Fun Park, Palm Island, Big City, Mighty Mountain, Harbor Bay, Candy Garden, Snowy Peaks, Safari Valley, Farm Valley and Sunny Canyon. Each one has its own track, stations, tunnels, villages, bridges and animals. Level crossings really work: the gates swing down, the lights flash, the bell rings and the little cars wait for the train. LOTS OF TRAINS, LOTS OF REWARDS Steam engines, streamliners, trolleys, diesels and a bullet train. Every finished game earns a collectible train sticker. MADE WITH LITTLE HANDS IN MIND - Big, forgiving buttons and tap targets - Gentle hints and encouragement, never a "you lose" - Games quietly adapt to your child: more choices and trickier look-alikes as they improve - Spoken instructions and on-screen captions - Plays without an internet connection PARENTS: PRIVACY AND PEACE OF MIND - No ads. Alphabet Rebel is a short, focused practice game that builds letter-name automaticity—the ability to recognize and retrieve letter names quickly and accurately. This matters because fluent reading and spelling depend on fast, reliable access to print. When letter knowledge is slow or effortful, it taxes working memory and attention, leaving fewer cognitive resources for decoding, spelling, and comprehension. This app targets that foundational “bottleneck” skill with clear prompts, high response opportunities, and immediate feedback. The goal is simple: make letter retrieval more efficient so reading and spelling can become smoother and less tiring. What the practice is strengthening • Automatic retrieval of letter names (speed + accuracy) • Working memory for print (holding the target letter in mind while producing the correct neighbor letter) • Orthographic coding (stable, accurate mental representations of letters and their order) • Attentional control (staying engaged through rapid, repeated retrieval) How it works • The app asks quick alphabet questions such as: “What letter comes before F?” or “What letter comes after F?” • Questions are always valid (no “before A” or “after Z”). • Letters are not repeated within a run: once a letter is used, it’s done for that session. • Timing shifts based on performance so practice stays challenging but manageable. • Immediate feedback: • Correct answers are reinforced with brief positive responses. • Incorrect answers immediately show the correct letter (clear correction, no confusion). • Optional supports: • A brief “mind’s eye” reminder to encourage internal letter imagery. • A temporary hint display if the student is struggling or taking too long. • A run ends in one of two clear ways: • Three errors (lives) ends the run to prevent frustration spirals. • Completing all 26 letters ends the run for a full successful set. Why this supports literacy Efficient reading and spelling require fast access to print units. When students can retrieve letter names quickly and keep letter order stable, they are better prepared for: • accurate decoding and blending, • mapping spellings to pronunciations, • spelling with fewer omissions or reversals, • and building fluency with less effort. Alphabet Rebel is intentionally focused. It’s not a full reading program—it’s a practice tool designed to strengthen a key underlying skill that many learners need to make progress elsewhere. Designed for • Early readers building solid letter knowledge • Students who need extra repetition to develop automaticity • Tutoring and intervention routines • Homeschool practice • Adults who want a fast accuracy-and-speed challenge Progress tracking The profile view includes simple progress graphs so you can monitor growth over time and see patterns in accuracy and consistency. Privacy Alphabet Rebel does not require an account. Practice data is stored locally on the device for simple, low-friction use.
