Turn meetings into notes. Turn notes into reusable knowledge. Recapp records conversations with your iPhone microphone and helps you revisit what was said through transcripts, summaries and questions grounded in your notes. Choose where AI processing happens and keep your files in portable Markdown. CAPTURE YOUR MEETINGS • Record, pause and resume a meeting, or import WAV, MP3 and M4A audio. • An active, user-started microphone recording can continue when you go to the Home Screen or lock your iPhone. • Revisit recordings with timestamped transcripts and estimated speaker labels when available. • Capture nearby speech without adding a meeting bot. The iPhone app does not record other apps' internal audio or automatically join calls. MAKE NOTES USEFUL • Generate summaries using general meeting, sales, engineering or custom templates. • Ask questions about your notes and follow references back to source material. • Write and edit Markdown, search your vaults, link related notes and explore their connections. • Share notes or export a vault with its attached files. • Create Quick or Detailed Reports from saved summaries for a day, week or month. Export notes and reports as PDF, Word or Markdown. CHOOSE LOCAL OR PRIVATE AZURE CLOUD Private Azure Cloud is the default selection on new installs. It requires internet, a signed-in account and separate consent before any meeting content is uploaded. Selected audio, transcripts, question context and saved summaries used for Reports are sent to Azure for processing; results are saved in your local vault. No local model download is needed for this mode. Cloud AI is free during the current Preview, with service and usage limits; cloud recordings must be shorter than two hours. Local mode runs transcription, summaries and note chat on your device after an initial model download of approximately 3.20 GB. Additional storage and sufficient device memory are required. You can defer model setup and still record, write, read and export notes. Local AI works offline after setup. YOUR FILES, YOUR FOLDERS Use Recapp's default vault folder or choose a supported folder. Notes remain ordinary .md files. Cloud processing and account sign-in do not synchronize or back up your vaults. A folder or backup service you choose handles its copies under its own settings. Notes are plain text and are not encrypted by Recapp. START WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT Guest mode includes up to 5 saved notes or meetings across your vaults and recordings up to 15 minutes; guest recordings and imports use Local processing. Optional Apple, Google or Microsoft sign-in removes these guest limits. Signed-in recording sessions are limited to two hours, with a reminder after one hour. Account deletion is available in Settings and preserves your local files. English and Spanish interfaces, with light, dark and automatic appearance. PRIVACY AND ACCURACY Cloud transfers use TLS; Azure decrypts content to process it. Recapp does not keep a cloud meeting-content store. Microsoft may temporarily retain flagged prompts or output for abuse monitoring; processing may occur outside Canada. Sanitized error reports and coarse hardware statistics are enabled by default and can be disabled in Settings; meeting content is excluded from telemetry. See the privacy policy for details. AI output and speaker labels can contain mistakes. Check important details against the recording and obtain participants' permission before recording.
