Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Sudoku ▦ at 4.7 against iGlyphTrainer's 3.6. Sudoku ▦ also leads on ratings volume (104K vs 10). iGlyphTrainer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Sudoku ▦ holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sudoku ▦ has 104K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of iGlyphTrainer's written reviews are positive against 38% of Sudoku ▦'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
iGlyphTrainer ships an update every 3 weeks, Sudoku ▦ every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
