Verdict
Vault! and Zombie Goes Up both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Zombie Goes Up's written reviews are positive against 71% of Vault!'s. Vault!'s advantage is update cadence (every 5 months vs every 13 months) and ratings volume (77 vs 11). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vault! sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Zombie Goes Up sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Vault! against 4.5 for Zombie Goes Up. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vault! has 77 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two.
