Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Talkr at 4.7 against Caricatures's 1.4. Talkr also leads on review sentiment (60% vs 33%) and ratings volume (9K vs 5). Caricatures's advantage is iOS requirement (6.0 vs 12.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Caricatures sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Talkr sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Talkr holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Talkr has 9K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of Caricatures's written reviews are positive against 60% of Talkr's.
