SECOM Safe is much more than an app, it is an around the clock personal security service that is with you everywhere your phone goes. SECOM Safe is activated in a time of distress by either shaking or tapping the screen of your smart phone. Upon activation your smartphone immediately records a short video and audio clip, which, along with your exact GPS location, is immediately sent to the SECOM’s A1 Graded monitoring Control Centre. Our highly trained staff will analyse this information, contacting you, follow your emergency procedures and when necessary call the emergency services in order to ensure your safety. SECOM Safe is ideal for people working in a wide variety of industries, in which prolonged periods of time may be spent alone and/or in potentially unsafe situations. From mobile managers to healthcare workers carrying out home visits to engineers in remote locations, SECOM Safe is the ideal app to ensure your safety wherever you are and whatever you are doing. Crucially the fact that SECOM Safe is on your smart phone negates the requirement for an extra device, which is frequently forgotten or not charged. Additional functionality is provided through the Meeting Timer. The Meeting Timer allows you to set up an expected meeting duration time. Once this is done, a countdown timer starts both on your smart phone, and remotely at the SECOM Control Centre. This timer must be stopped within the set period of time in order to prevent the alarm being activated in the SECOM Safe control room, in which case the same sequence of events happens as in a standard alarm. If the alarm time needs to be extended a discrete push of a button can extend it in 15-minute/1 hour intervals. The meeting timer can be used as a simple and hassle free check in tool for staff when in remote locations or when going into a meeting with unfamiliar persons. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

This delayed SOS will alert you with a sound warning one minute before sending the actual alarm. For your security, the application may change to a hidden state after sending an SOS alarm.
