MoonMinder provides events reminder of upcoming dates of lunar, astronomical events and festivals from calendars of several major world religions. All of humanity shares the same view from this, our home, the Earth. We all see the same stars moving through the sky, and we all see the same moon shifting, waxing, waning, and eclipsing. We all belong to a culture that celebrates in our own way, the same view. From astronomy, find in MoonMinder, details and reminders of those moving planets and that ever changing moon. Find here details and reminders of the ways many of us celebrate those changes. If you wish, explore when other cultures celebrate the same view. Here are the exact times of planetary stations, sign changes, aspects, eclipses, full and new moons. Track Lunar Mansions through each day. Here are lunar dates, shifting slightly each year, from the calendars of all three sons of Abraham: the Jew, the Muslim, and the Christian. Here too are festival dates from the calendars of the Traditional Chinese, Taoist, Hindus, Bahai, Sikh, Buddhists, Japanese and Wiccans. In this app, choose your own reminders, from the most astronomical perspective, to the most personally cultural, as you desire.

Sankashti is your devotional companion for the Sankashti Chaturthi vrat — a monthly fast observed by Lord Ganesh devotees on the fourth day after the full moon. Get accurate Sankashti dates, moonrise times for your own city, and timely reminders so you never miss a vrat. Designed to be simple, beautiful, and respectful of the tradition. KEY FEATURES • Nitya — daily practice, gathered in one place. Ganpati Atharvashirsha, Vakratunda Mahakaya and Ganesh Chalisa for the morning; Sukhkarta Dukhharta and Ghalin Lotangan for the lamp; bhajans for the evening; and the official Bal Ganesh animated films for the family. The tab opens on morning stotras before four in the afternoon and evening bhajans after, because most households reach for the same thing at the same hour. • Ganeshotsav 2026 — a dedicated tab through the festival season, with a countdown to Ganesh Chaturthi, the day-by-day schedule from Sthapana to Anant Chaturdashi, and the visarjan days in between. • Full Sankashti calendar — every Sankashti Chaturthi date through 2027, including Angarki Sankashti (the highly auspicious Tuesday Sankashti). • Moonrise times for your city, not your timezone — 18 cities across India and the diaspora. This matters more than it sounds: Houston's moonrise runs up to 72 minutes later than Chicago's though both are US Central, and the fast is broken after moonrise. Using the wrong city in the same zone would have you break it early. • Live Darshan — watch live darshan from famous Ganapati temples including Shree Siddhivinayak (Mumbai) and Dagdusheth Halwai (Pune), all eight Ashtavinayak temples, and other revered shrines such as Shirdi Sai Baba, Somnath, and Mahakaleshwar. Tap your Morning Alarm notification and the darshan you chose opens straight away. • Daily prayer alarms — start the day with a Morning Alarm and wind down with an Evening Prayer reminder. Pick your own time or use the 6:00 AM / 7:00 PM defaults. Each alarm says plainly whether it is set. • Custom alerts and occasions — one-time reminders for temple visits or fasting days, plus optional reminders for monthly Vinayaka Chaturthi, Ganesh Jayanti, Ganesh Chaturthi, Anant Chaturdashi, and festivals like Diwali, Holi, Navratri and Maha Shivaratri. Turn each one on or off in Settings. • Smart Sankashti reminders — choose how many days before each Sankashti you want to be notified (7, 3, 2, 1 day, or on the day) in any combination. Notifications fire at the right local time for the place you select. • English, Marathi (मराठी) and Hindi (हिंदी) — a full trilingual interface with a one-tap language toggle, now including the alarms screen. • Reliable notifications — a "Test Now" button lets you verify your reminder setup works before the next Sankashti. • Source you can trust — dates and moonrise times come from Drik Panchang, a respected authority on Hindu astronomical and ritual timing. • Privacy first — no ads, no tracking, no in-app purchases, no account required. The app does not collect personal data. A NOTE ON THE RECORDINGS Darshan streams and the Nitya recordings play through YouTube from the official channels of their rights holders — Shemaroo, T-Series Bhakti Sagar, Rajshri and the temples themselves. We neither host nor claim ownership of that content, and playback needs an internet connection. ABOUT SANKASHTI CHATURTHI Sankashti Chaturthi (literally "the chaturthi that removes obstacles") is observed monthly on the chaturthi tithi of the Krishna Paksha. Devotees fast from sunrise until they sight the moon, after which they offer prayers to Lord Ganesh and break their fast. When Sankashti falls on a Tuesday, it is called Angarki Sankashti and is considered especially powerful. Whether you observe every Sankashti or just the special Angarki ones, Sankashti keeps you on schedule with the tools you need — and nothing you don't. --- Made with devotion for the Ganesh Bhakta community.
