Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: VR Creator at 4.0 against Slime VR's 2.8. VR Creator also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). Slime VR's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 47%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

VR Creator holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VR Creator has 52 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Slime VR's written reviews are positive against 47% of VR Creator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Slime VR ships an update every 4 months, VR Creator every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
