Blindfold Games are entertainment apps provided as a service to the visually impaired community by Objective Ed. Your in-app upgrades pay for the development and support of these games.  Hearts is a fully accessible Hearts card game for both sighted and visually impaired people, designed for rapid audio play. Hearts is a trick taking game, where you try to get the lowest score against 3 computer opponents. Each heart is worth one point, and the Queen of Spades is worth 13. You can also "shoot the moon" getting all hearts and the Queen of Spades, but beware - your opponents will try to stop you. You can customize the game to your liking: how much extra information is spoken and how quickly it is spoken, how many sound effects are used amongst other things. And you can post your high scores to Twitter or Facebook.

Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Blindfold Hearts at 5.0 against TableEx's 4.1. Blindfold Hearts also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.1). TableEx's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (48 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Blindfold Hearts sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and TableEx sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Blindfold Hearts holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TableEx has 48 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Blindfold Hearts's written reviews are positive against 67% of TableEx's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Blindfold Hearts ships an update every 2 months, TableEx weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
