Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Engage School at 2.7 against Exam.net's 1.3. Exam.net's advantage is review sentiment (12% vs 4%) and ratings volume (27 vs 7). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Engage School holds the better App Store score, 2.7 against 1.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7 and 27 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 4% of Engage School's written reviews are positive against 12% of Exam.net's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Engage School ships an update every 3 months, Exam.net every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 14, 2026.
