epTools Lite is a platform for the evaluation of heart rhythm disorders. It is a universal app running on iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch devices. epTools Lite is a free app that contains a subset of the functionality included in epTools. Resources include algorithms commonly used to localize arrhythmia substrates and reference guides to assist in the identification of clinical conditions involving abnormalities of cardiac rhythm. Algorithms are implemented via an intuitive user interface. These algorithms guide the user through a series of questions to arrive at an answer while providing a graphical visualization of their progress and result of their analysis. Use of the save path to image feature allows users to save an image of the current decision path when using many of the decision analysis tools included. These images, which appear in the photo album, may be useful to communicate findings with colleagues. Users may access scientific reference material cited in the app. Many of the reference are available for free or are accessible by subscription holders. Subscribers need only enter journal specific log-in identification once as credentials are stored in iOS. Localization of accessory pathways: Two algorithms are provided (based on Arruda et al and Milstein et al) to assist in the localization of accessory pathways in patients presenting with patterns of manifest pre-excitation on 12-lead electrocardiograms. Localization of atrial tachycardias: Two algorithms are provided (based on Ellenbogen et al and Kistler et al) to assist in the localization of atrial tachycardias in patients presenting with atrial tachycardia on a 12-lead electrocardiogram. Localization of ischemic ventricular tachycardia: Two algorithms are provided (based on Miller et al and Segal et al) to assist in the localization of exit sites for ventricular tachycardia in the setting of single and multiple myocardial infarction based on findings on 12- lead electrocardiograms during ventricular tachycardia. Localization of idiopathic ventricular tachycardia and premature ventricular contractions: A reference is provided consisting of ECG findings for various idiopathic ventricular arrhythmia locations. An algorithm is provided based on Ito et al to assist in the localization of ventricular ectopic activity and tachycardia based on ECG findings. Differentiate endocardial from epicardial ventricular arrhythmias via calculation of the maximum deflection index (Daniels et al). Disease Assessment: A tool are provided to assist in the assessment of Arrythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia/Cardiomyopathy (ARVD/C) . Tools to differentiate SVT from VT using features noted on the 12-lead electrocardiogram are provided utilizing the Brugada and Verckei et al algorithms. Tools to calculate the CHADS₂ and CHA₂DS₂VASc stroke risk as well as QT correction calculators for heart rate (Bazett or Fredericia) are provided. A creatinine clearance calculator (Cockcroft Gault) is provided. Reference examples using the included tools are available on our website (www.busy-being-born.com/examples).

AngioAID 3D is educational tool designed to teach key concepts of diagnostic angiography of coronary arteries. Developed at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, New York State's highest volume cardiac cath lab, we aim to provide an interactive learning experience on this important topic. Within a 3D live simulation, you begin by advancing a diagnostic guidewire into the aortic root. Then, advance one of many diagnostic catheter options to either the right of left coronary ostium. Through pushing and pulling, as well as rotation of the catheter, try to achieve a truly co-axial engagement of the coronary ostium with the catheter. Meanwhile monitor the hemodynamic tab which simulated damping from over-engagement or roofing of the catheter tip. Line up the view with the target view, zoom to fill the screen with he coronaries, and rotate the C-Arm LAO/RAO and Cranial/Caudal until you're where you think you need to be. Finally, inject dye and take a cine to compare with the one we actually did in the cath lab for this set of coronaries. In addition to the diagnostic simulation, "Review Mode" allows you to play with angles and panning while always being able to see the vessels with no dye injection needed. Also a collection of key topics have been included within the review mode such as key angiographic angles depending on what you're aiming to see clearly, vessel segmentation conventions, and more coronary anatomy and angiography pearls. We highly recommend you view the tutorial video that is available when you first open the application or from the settings page to understand all of the available functions. The first launch has a normal set of coronary arteries but please stay tuned while we create more sets of coronaries such as anomalous coronaries and bypass grafts.
