Jimmy Swaggart Ministries   This app contains an interactive version of “The Expositor’s Study Bible” by Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart, an audio version of “The Expositor’s Study Bible” as well as “The Evangelist Magazine” – the monthly publication of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries.   Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart is the author of The Expositor’s Study Bible (ESB).  To date, the ESB has been translated from its original English version into Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish, and has sold more than 1.8 million copies.   In the 1990s, the Lord impressed upon Brother Swaggart to produce a study Bible that would be easy for preachers and laypeople alike to read and understand.  In the latter part of that decade (1997), the Lord revealed to him the Message of the Cross, which revolutionized the evangelist’s life and ministry.  As understanding of “Jesus Christ and Him crucified” continued to unfold, Brother Swaggart knew this message would serve as the cornerstone for the study Bible he had been instructed by the Lord to produce, as well as for his worldwide ministry.   In 2001, the Holy Spirit showed Brother Swaggart the format of how this Bible would be presented, which he and his staff followed to the letter, making the ESB one of the most unique Bibles in the world today. All Scripture text inside the ESB is typeset in black, making the Word of God stand out against the red expository notes that follow nearly every verse.  This user-friendly format seems to please readers who appreciate the in-depth commentary so visually close to the sacred text.   Since the primary goal of this project was to help explain the Scriptures, the word expositor was chosen for its title.  Each expository note draws from six decades of Brother Swaggart’s personal Bible study and the insights he’s collected from some of the finest Hebrew and Greek scholars in the world.  This single resource, just under 2,500 pages, gives readers the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the Word of God in a way, according to the evangelist, that the Holy Spirit desires.   FEATURES This interactive app makes the navigation from Book, Chapter and Verse much easier than traditional e-Book versions.  As well, the reader is able to search, highlight, comment, bookmark and turn Brother Swaggart’s commentary notes off and on at one simple touch.

About

Pax Bible

Features

The Pax Bible apps offer many cool features, yet appear modest and straightforward. Free of charge and ad-free. Ten Bible translations are pre-installed, and over 2000 more in over 800 languages can be easily imported. The app itself is currently available in 6 languages. The iOS app offers the full range of functions also when offline. A login or a registration is not necessary. One of the outstanding features is the comparison function. This allows two translations to be read synchronously side by side, in the same or a different language. If the selected translations contain the Strong numbers for the Hebrew and Greek root words, tapping on a word will also highlight the corresponding word in the other column. The search function offers simple yet powerful options, such as searching for multiple words that must be close to each other, regardless of their order. When the comparison function is active, both translations are searched simultaneously. The words or parts of sentences found are highlighted in color. In addition, individual words, verses or chapters can be marked with freely definable colors. For words, you can choose whether they should be displayed accordingly in just one verse, in one chapter or in the entire Bible. Thanks to the Strong numbers, the colors of the words in other translations are also displayed. Other functions include: • Highlight Jesus' words in color • Extensive list of parallel passages • Searchable notes on verses • Roll the dice to select a "random" verse • Reading plans (e.g. PowerHour) • Create QR codes: If these are pictured from a screen with the camera app, the installed Pax Bible app or otherwise a browser opens at the selected location • Read aloud function (not available for all languages) • Dimmed mode • Bible statistics with all words, sorted by frequency • Super fast None of the functions mentioned are presented in an intrusive way, so it is easy to focus on God's word, which is the main purpose of the Pax Bible apps. May God touch many hearts through the Pax Bible apps!
