Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Fish Helper Pro at 100% against XDV's 11%. XDV's advantage is rating (2.2 vs 1.0) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 37 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
XDV holds the better App Store score, 2.2 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: XDV has 444 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 11% of XDV's written reviews are positive against 100% of Fish Helper Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
XDV ships an update every 2 months, Fish Helper Pro every 37 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
