In the most unbalanced field, combat starts everywhere. All cells have to observe and obey the jungle law: bigger cells prey upon smaller ones, big cells eat little cells. The law of the fang is never repealed, yet we have evolved to different strategies: 1) Feed, eject a small cell to attract your targets, or help your mates grow up; 2) Split, split into two same half cells, homed in on your target. You can play offline with computer AIs, or online with players world wide. Name you differently or you may be the target easily. Find your mates or you will lose it soon.

Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Cell Game at 5.0 against Carrion's 4.4. Cell Game also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1). Carrion's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 43 months). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Cell Game holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Carrion has 1.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of Cell Game's written reviews are positive against 70% of Carrion's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Cell Game ships an update every 43 months, Carrion every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
