CDM Captions vs VISI

CDM Captions is a mobile app that allows cinema viewers to synchronize their smartphone with the movie showing and read text information (Hearing Impaired channel or Language subtitles) on their device.

VISI turns your phone into a real-time captioning display — showing spoken words as large, clear text the moment they're said. Perfect for: • People with hearing difficulties • Noisy environments where you can't hear clearly • Classrooms, meetings, or conversations • Anyone who prefers reading over listening How it works: Open the app, tap the button, and start speaking or listening. VISI captures audio through your microphone and displays captions instantly. No account needed, no setup, and works offline. Features: • Real-time speech-to-text display • Multiple font options including a dyslexia-friendly font • Light and dark mode • Adjustable text size and display style • Works in portrait and landscape • MAX mode for full-screen dramatic text display Simple, fast, and private.
