Ground Floor HQ

GROUNDFLOOR is the operations app for a late-night venue. It started at the door and now runs the whole building — the queue, the floor, the stockroom and the books — so the people working a night never have to leave the app to do their job. THE DOOR • Scan tickets and guest-list QR codes, or find anyone by name • ID scanning with age checks, photo capture and a shared ban list • Tap to Pay on iPhone — no terminal, no extra hardware • Entry, late fees and table money, each recorded as what it actually was • Let someone in free when you decide to, with the reason recorded against the night • Works with no signal and syncs when it comes back THE FLOOR • Live table plan: who is seated, who is still coming, what they are spending • Minimum spends, deposits and pre-ordered bottles on the booking • Move, combine and release tables as the night changes • Walk-ups seated in seconds THE NIGHT, AS IT RUNS • Who is in, how they got in, and what was taken — updating while the doors are open • Arrivals against IDs actually scanned, so a gap is a question you can still ask • End-of-night report written on the phone before anyone goes home STOCK • Counts on the phone, two people counting at once without standing on each other • Deliveries, transfers between venues and supplier invoices • What a shortfall actually cost THE BOOKS • Approve a supplier invoice and queue the payment, from anywhere • Query an invoice: ask someone to confirm it is right before it is paid • Pay runs, VAT invoices and bank lines • Nothing moves until it is approved in the banking app THE TEAM • Opening and closing checklists with sign-off • Incidents, lost property and maintenance logged where they happened • Training modules and certificates • Messaging per venue and per night CUSTOMERS • One profile per person: visits, spend, bookings and birthdays • Recognise a regular at the door before they reach the front Built for Cococure and used every night across three venues.
