Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Pathos at none against Guidus's 13. Pathos also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (89% vs 73%). Guidus's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (3K vs 360). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Guidus sells 13 one-off in-app purchases. Pathos asks for nothing beyond the download.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Pathos against 4.8 for Guidus. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Guidus has 3K ratings behind it against 360, so its average is the more settled of the two. Pathos ships an update every 4 months, Guidus every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
