ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Step Counter Widget holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Step Counter Widget has 301 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Steps, The Pedometer App's written reviews are positive against 60% of Step Counter Widget's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
