Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: PianoToolbox at 100% against KORG Module's 52%. PianoToolbox also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 21) and iOS requirement (13 vs 15.6). KORG Module's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.0) and update cadence (monthly vs every 7 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. KORG Module sells 21 one-off in-app purchases. PianoToolbox asks for nothing beyond the download.
KORG Module holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KORG Module has 783 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of KORG Module's written reviews are positive against 100% of PianoToolbox's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
KORG Module ships an update monthly, PianoToolbox every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
