MantisX is a revolutionary training system that helps you improve your shooting precision. Use of the app requires a MantisX Sensor which can be bought here: http://www.mantisx.com. It attaches to any picatinny rail (or rail adapter if your firearm doesn't have a built-in rail). The internal electronics of the MantisX Sensor collect movement data before, during, and after your shot. Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MantisX at none against Par Timer Pro's 10. Par Timer Pro's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.3) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Par Timer Pro sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. MantisX asks for nothing beyond the download.
Par Timer Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 360 and 377 respectively.
