Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: TCR TV at 100% against Formula E's 22%. TCR TV also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Formula E's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 1) and rating (4.2 vs 4.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Formula E holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Formula E has 1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of Formula E's written reviews are positive against 100% of TCR TV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Formula E ships an update every 3 weeks, TCR TV every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
