Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Times Tables at 67% against Math Learner's 23%. Times Tables also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 9). Math Learner's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 1.6) and ratings volume (121K vs 8). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Math Learner holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Math Learner has 121K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Times Tables's written reviews are positive against 23% of Math Learner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Times Tables ships an update every 2 months, Math Learner every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
