Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: CostDiary at 68% against Ledger Bunny's 0%. CostDiary also leads on ads (none vs shown). Ledger Bunny's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 3.0) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. CostDiary sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Ledger Bunny sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Ledger Bunny holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ledger Bunny has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of CostDiary's written reviews are positive against 0% of Ledger Bunny's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
CostDiary ships an update every 3 weeks, Ledger Bunny every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
