Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Line Defense at 4.6 against Jetscout's 4.0. Line Defense also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 30 months) and ratings volume (14 vs 2). Jetscout's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and review sentiment (75% vs 63%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Line Defense sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Jetscout asks for nothing beyond the download.
Line Defense holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Line Defense has 14 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Line Defense's written reviews are positive against 75% of Jetscout's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Line Defense ships an update monthly, Jetscout every 30 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
