Smart Kodi Remote is free to download; Kody Remote costs $1.99 up front. Smart Kodi Remote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Kody Remote sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Smart Kodi Remote holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smart Kodi Remote has 228 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Smart Kodi Remote's written reviews are positive against 71% of Kody Remote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Smart Kodi Remote ships an update every 6 months, Kody Remote fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
