Congested Wi-Fi is unclogged with load-balancing of Wi-Fi and cellular which provides seamless transitions when moving from Wi-Fi to cellular coverage for most apps and services. HOW IT WORKS • SmartVPN® technology automatically and intelligently applies threat protection, encryption and wifi+cell bonding only when necessary to ensure the fastest possible performance and most efficient battery usage of any VPN. • The "VPN" will be visible on the Status Bar while any of features are running. You will also see occasional notifications when status changes in the app and as you connect and disconnect from Wi-Fi. • Automatically encrypts your data when you connect to Wi-Fi networks. Avoids re-encrypting of HTTPS for faster performance, less battery usage and compatibility with all apps and video services. IMPORTANT NOTES • The Wi-Fi logo may disappear when the VPN is running, even though you are still connected to Wi-Fi. This is a known occurrence for all VPNs. To check you are still on Wi-Fi tap on your iPhone settings app and look at the Wi-Fi status. • Please note that if you check the data or battery usage on your phone, it may appear as though this app is using a lot of data and battery. However, this app isn’t actually using all that data/battery. Reporting for the data/battery usage has been shifted from your other apps to this one, because your data now passes through this app so it can manage your security and connectivity. Actual battery usage will be minimal – on average 0.1%. • Reporting an issue with the application is performed by tapping the Menu (upper right corner of the app) and then tapping ‘Report problem.’ When reporting a problem, please be as specific as you can.

OONI Probe is developed by the Open Observatory of Network Interference (OONI), a free software project (under The Tor Project) that aims to uncover internet censorship around the world. Since 2012, OONI’s global community has collected millions of network measurements from more than 200 countries, shedding light on multiple cases of network interference. ▶ Collect evidence of internet censorship You can check whether and how websites and instant messaging apps are blocked. The network measurement data you will collect may serve as evidence of internet censorship. ▶ Detect systems responsible for censorship and surveillance OONI Probe tests are also designed to uncover the presence of systems (middleboxes) that could be responsible for censorship and surveillance. ▶ Measure the speed and performance of your network You can measure the speed and performance of your network by running OONI's implementation of the Network Diagnostic Test (NDT). You can also measure video streaming performance with the Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH) test. ▶ Open data OONI publishes network measurement data because open data allows third parties to verify OONI findings, conduct independent studies, and answer other research questions. Openly publishing OONI data also helps increase transparency of internet censorship around the world.
