Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: skai.gr at 4.6 against NewsIT's 3.7. skai.gr also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1K vs 3). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
skai.gr holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: skai.gr has 1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of skai.gr's written reviews are positive against 25% of NewsIT's.
skai.gr ships an update every 3 months, NewsIT every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
