Explore the mathematical mysteries and marvels of Pascal's Triangle with this highly interactive iPad app. Choose a color and mark a pattern on the chart to discover a mathematical relationship. Tap the Pascal icon and a note pops up with an interesting fact about Pascal's Triangle. Tap the sigma icon to get statistics about the patterns on the chart. Tap the question mark to start a quiz and review the concepts presented. Because the Pascal's Triangle app is designed as an open-ended tool that teachers can use it as a presentation tool to lead students into fascinating mathematical discoveries. Topics include: Fibonacci Numbers, Triangular Numbers, Square Numbers, Palindromes, and Powers. Students will enjoy using this interactive learning tool. The Pascal's Triangle app creates a colorful learningenvironment with mild sound effects and provides motivation for exploring math concepts and encourages discoveries.
Galton Board
Explore probability theory with a simulation of the classic Galton board. Adjust board size, send numerous balls through a pin maze, and observe emergent patterns visualized in a bar chart. Ideal for educational purposes, it helps grasp concepts of chance and their relation to Pascal's Triangle.

Originally conceived in 1894 by Galton, the board consists of countless balls traversing down through a maze of pins. At every pin, they have a single choice: go left or right. Although the possibilities seem limitless, a pattern soon emerges. But how does this really work? This app is a simulation of the famous Galton board and is intended for educational purposes. You can adjust the board size, and send over a thousand balls bouncing down the board. On iPad you can even run multiple simulations simultaneously with multiple windows. The results are visualized by a bar chart. The Galton Board is closely related to Pascal's Triangle, Newton's binomium and probability theory in general. For experiment fidelity and performance, the balls do not collide with each other. I hope this app helps people grasp chance at least a little bit better. Love the app, or have improvements/suggestions? Let me know!

Verdict
The clearest difference is price: Galton Board at Free against Pascal's Triangle's $1.99. Galton Board also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 37 months). Pascal's Triangle's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
