Confessio

Confessio is a quiet, private companion for the Sacrament of Reconciliation – from the first honest look at your life to the words you say in the confessional. HOW YOU PREPARE • An examination for your state in life – add profiles for teenagers, young adults, adults, seniors, single people, married couples, parents, priests or religious. Their questions join the Ten Commandments, so you see what truly applies to you. • A children’s examination – simple questions for ages 7–12, for parents and catechists preparing a child for confession. • The seven capital sins – the same questions grouped by the roots of sin, as another way to examine yourself. • Three ways to prepare – a 2–4 minute daily check, the full examination, or “I’m going to confession today”: five steps of prayer, examination, reviewing your list, contrition and the words to say. • Guided or checklist – answer one question at a time or scan the whole list, and search it by any word. Add a point, mark it with “?” to ask the priest, and note how many times something happened. • Read it quietly in the confessional – a dark, large-print view that keeps the screen on and fills in how long it has been since your last confession. Tap each sin once you have said it. • In your own words – add anything the examination doesn’t cover, and edit it later. ALSO INCLUDED • A step-by-step guide to how confession works • Prayers before and after confession, the Act of Contrition, Psalm 51 and a prayer on mercy • Gentle help for an anxious conscience (scrupulosity) • An optional confession history that keeps only dates – never the sins • Reminders weekly, every two weeks, monthly or on First Friday, and before Easter and Christmas • App lock with Face ID, Touch ID or passcode • 13 languages, works fully offline PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything you enter stays only on your device and is kept out of iCloud backups. No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking – nothing is ever uploaded. Confessio helps you prepare. It does not replace the sacrament, the counsel of a priest or spiritual direction.
