Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Easy Work Shift at 100% against Sked's 50%. Easy Work Shift also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs subscription) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months). Sked's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (164 vs 8). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. Sked sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Easy Work Shift sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Sked holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sked has 164 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Sked's written reviews are positive against 100% of Easy Work Shift's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Sked ships an update every 2 months, Easy Work Shift every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
