Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: StickyTalking at 3.6 against Chat Note's 2.0. StickyTalking also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). Chat Note's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 65%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StickyTalking sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Chat Note sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

StickyTalking holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StickyTalking has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of StickyTalking's written reviews are positive against 100% of Chat Note's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

StickyTalking ships an update every 3 weeks, Chat Note every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
