Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: OMGCam at 3.0 against Brinno's 2.0. OMGCam also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 9 months). Brinno's advantage is review sentiment (17% vs 0%) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
OMGCam holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brinno has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of Brinno's written reviews are positive against 0% of OMGCam's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Brinno ships an update every 9 months, OMGCam every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
