Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Tap Hero at none against Kill Dash's shown. Tap Hero also leads on ratings volume (487 vs 12) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 10.0). Kill Dash's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 11 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tap Hero sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Kill Dash sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Tap Hero against 4.5 for Kill Dash. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tap Hero has 487 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 82% of Tap Hero's written reviews are positive against 88% of Kill Dash's.
Tap Hero ships an update every 11 months, Kill Dash every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
