About

First Light Hunt

Features

First Light calculates legal shooting hours — sunrise and sunset plus a configurable offset — entirely on your device. No network connection required, ever, which matters because most competing hunting-hours apps need a signal at least once to load their data. How it works: 1. Tap "Use my location" (or enter coordinates manually for a spot you're scouting ahead of time). 2. First Light computes sunrise, sunset, and the legal shooting-hours window for that location using its GPS coordinates — no server round trip. 3. Check today's window at a glance, or scroll a 7-day outlook to plan ahead. The default offset is 30 minutes before sunrise / after sunset, the common federal-style norm — adjustable in-app since exact legal offsets vary by state and species. Please verify with your local wildlife agency. Legal shooting-hour offsets and season dates vary by state and species and change year to year. First Light does not include per-state regulation data or season dates — it's a sunrise/sunset calculator with a user-adjustable offset, not a substitute for your state's official regulations. There is nothing to sign into. Your coordinates are used to work out where the sun sits for that spot and they stay on the handset -- we never receive them. The banner is served blind -- no targeting, nothing about you attached.
