Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Tiny Chick at none against Royal Guardians's shown. Tiny Chick also leads on review sentiment (50% vs 40%) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 12.0). Royal Guardians's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs monthly) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tiny Chick sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Royal Guardians sells 15 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Royal Guardians holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Royal Guardians has 518 ratings behind it against 72, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Tiny Chick's written reviews are positive against 40% of Royal Guardians's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Tiny Chick ships an update monthly, Royal Guardians weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
