By holding your smartphone at an angle, holding it up against the light or even touching the screen, you can discover how to check the security features that appear on the document. Using this app, you can also see how a document reacts when exposed to ultraviolet light. The app provides information about the security features for: - the Dutch passport - the Dutch identity card - residence documents - foreign nationals identity document The security features on travel documents help prevent misuse, fraud and document forgery. This app is published by the National Office for Identity Data of the Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations.
