ChordMaps2 is a music app for iPad which allows musicians, songwriters, music educators, and students to explore and improvise chord progressions, melody lines, and bass lines, in both major and minor keys, most of the time tapping with just one or two fingers. The most powerful feature of ChordMaps2 is that users can explore and play common chord progressions by touching chord locations on "Musical Maps." You can work with ChordMaps2 as a... Songwriter - to explore melody lines, bass lines, and chord progressions when you are away from your guitar or keyboard. Music Educator - to demonstrate principles of music theory, (including major and minor scales, diatonic and secondary chords, common chord progressions like IV-V-I, ii-V-I, I-vi-IV-V, I-V-vi-IV, etc.) You can also create spontaneous ear-training exercises, and explore melodic lines and chord progressions with students in an interactive environment. MIDI Musician - to tap out chord sequences and hear them played by one or more of the synth apps on your iPad, or you can send the MIDI information out through a MIDI interface to a computer running a digital audio workstation (DAW) like GarageBand or Logic Pro. How ChordMaps2 Works... ChordMaps2 is a MIDI controller. It works by being paired with a synthesizer app that generates sound. (Example synth apps include ThumbJam, SampleTank, bs-16i, iM1, and many more.) ChordMaps2 sends the MIDI signal; the synth app responds to the MIDI information and creates the audio. A new and unique Arpeggiator by BLEASS & Canblaster. Use it as a MIDI FX to control any synth or as an AUv3 Instrument thanks to its built-in FM Synth! BLEASS Arpeggiator takes the inspirationally melodic power of a classic synth arpeggiator and supercharges it with modern features demanded by today’s musicians. Developed in collaboration with top French producer Canblaster, BLEASS Arpeggiator’s capabilities extend far beyond the clichéd up-and-down monophonic patterns of an old-school synth arpeggiator, with polyrhythms, polyphony, and a large collection of highly configurable arpeggio patterns built in. The focus of BLEASS Arpeggiator is creativity and experimentation. The plugin’s hands-on user interface is as intuitive and spontaneous to use as a classic subtractive synth, so varying and adapting arpeggios on-the-fly is an easy, fun and organic experience. The plugin recognises incoming performance controllers, and includes a pair of XY pads, a pair of advanced LFOs and BLEASS’ signature Motion Sequencer. These can modulate the arpeggiator’s parameters, unlocking a deep level of creativity that is simply not available from modern step-sequencer-style arpeggiators. BLEASS Arpeggiator also offers a built-in sound generator. This is a cut-down yet great-sounding FM synth that’s perfect for creating bright, sweet and punchy sounds that can work well with an arpeggio line. You can of course use BLEASS Arpeggiator with any other synth too, with each instance of the plugin creating its own MIDI source that can be routed to any instrument within your project. More information, technical specifications and tutorials available on https://www.bleass.com/arpeggiator BLEASS Arpeggiator is available as an AUv3 plugin or standalone App. BLEASS Arpeggiator is also available for Windows, and macOS.
