In Pool, you first line up shot and then break the rack of balls. Then you and your opponent alternate turns, trying to sink as many balls as possible. There are several ways to determine which balls to aim for and sink: you can swipe up to get a list of balls and the pockets that the balls have a clear shot to, or you can explore the screen, and then select a ball, and get a list of pockets that are clear shots, or you can explore the screen, and then select a pocket. After you shoot, you'll hear the balls hitting each other, and you are told which balls landed in which pockets. You can adjust how good your opponent is, and you u can post your high scores to Facebook or Twitter. Pool was suggested by several blind gamers who enjoyed Blindfold Shuffleboard and Blindfold Bowling. The game includes several in-app upgrades that offer more pool games, such as Straight Pool, Eight Ball and Nine Ball.

Verdict

The call

Blindfold Pool and Audio Game Hub both sit at 4.3 stars, but that hides the real split: 73% of Audio Game Hub's written reviews are positive against 0% of Blindfold Pool's. Audio Game Hub also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (115 vs 6). Blindfold Pool's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 13.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Blindfold Pool holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Audio Game Hub has 115 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Blindfold Pool's written reviews are positive against 73% of Audio Game Hub's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Blindfold Pool ships an update every 2 months, Audio Game Hub fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
