Both are free to download. Devolver Tumble Time sells 17 one-off in-app purchases. Kid Beowulf asks for nothing beyond the download.
Devolver Tumble Time holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Devolver Tumble Time has 923 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Kid Beowulf's written reviews are positive against 56% of Devolver Tumble Time's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Kid Beowulf ships an update every 15 months, Devolver Tumble Time fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
