Serengeti Tracker vs Ingwe Research Program

Welcome to the Serengeti Tracker project. This exciting project lead by scientists at Glasgow University is helping to collect valuable data on some of Africa's most iconic wildlife, in one of its flagship reserves - Serengeti National Park. If you are planning a trip to Serengeti National Park then this app will be invaluable in helping you to identify and track down different animals in the park and find out interesting facts about them. In addition, you will be able to share news, images and the locations of animals you spot with other people; all whilst helping scientists to better understand and conserve them. Using the app you are also able to see where radio collar tagged wildebeest, Eland and zebra are within the park (and where they've been in the last 30 days).

Spotted a leopard? Your sighting could make a difference. Ingwe is a citizen science app that connects wildlife enthusiasts, guides, and conservation professionals across South African reserves. By logging your leopard sightings, you directly contribute to ongoing ecological research and help protect one of Africa's most elusive big cats. What you can do: - Submit leopard sightings from the field - Upload photos or camera trap images - Access leopard identification information - Follow leopard activity within your reserve Built for everyone Whether you're a first-time safari tourist or an experienced field guide, Ingwe is designed to be simple to use. Tourists can contribute sightings without registering. Reserve staff and researchers can access additional features through a verified account. Your data is protected Ingwe is fully POPIA-compliant.
