The child will identify the sounds in the words that are called out. To do this, the astronaut will collect the sounds along with the robot pieces, so that he can build a robot and return to earth. Verdict
The clearest difference is price: TT Pre at Free against Phonics Blaster's $2.99. TT Pre also leads on ratings volume (109 vs 3) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). Phonics Blaster's advantage is rating (3.7 vs 3.2) and chart position (#188 vs unranked). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

TT Pre is free to download; Phonics Blaster costs $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Phonics Blaster holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TT Pre has 109 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Phonics Blaster's written reviews are positive against 42% of TT Pre's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Phonics Blaster ships an update every 5 months, TT Pre every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
