Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: IQ Test at 4.6 against IQ Test's 3.1. IQ Test also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 40). IQ Test's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. IQ Test sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and IQ Test sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
IQ Test holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IQ Test has 1.2K ratings behind it against 40, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of IQ Test's written reviews are positive against 24% of IQ Test's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
IQ Test ships an update monthly, IQ Test every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
