Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: XpRemotePanel at 100% against FS's 50%. FS's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.7) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. XpRemotePanel sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. FS asks for nothing beyond the download.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

FS holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 8 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of FS's written reviews are positive against 100% of XpRemotePanel's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

FS ships an update every 4 months, XpRemotePanel every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
