Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Royal Guardians at 4.7 against Devil Twins's 4.1. Royal Guardians also leads on ratings volume (520 vs 9) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). Devil Twins's advantage is review sentiment (58% vs 40%) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 12.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Devil Twins sells 12 one-off in-app purchases and Royal Guardians sells 15 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Royal Guardians holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Royal Guardians has 520 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Devil Twins's written reviews are positive against 40% of Royal Guardians's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Devil Twins ships an update every 2 weeks, Royal Guardians weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
