Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: Daylight at free against Skylight's paid. Daylight also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 26.0). Skylight's advantage is ratings volume (107 vs 19). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Skylight against 4.9 for Daylight. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Skylight has 107 ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 73% of Skylight's written reviews are positive against 80% of Daylight's.
Skylight ships an update every 6 weeks, Daylight every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
