Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Cueist at 4.7 against BilliardsNote's 1.0. Cueist also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 75%) and ratings volume (76 vs 1). BilliardsNote's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 7 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BilliardsNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Cueist sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Cueist holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cueist has 76 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 75% of BilliardsNote's written reviews are positive against 100% of Cueist's.
BilliardsNote ships an update fortnightly, Cueist every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
