DrumGoat vs Gold Drums

DrumGoat helps drummers by challenging and reinforcing the audio-visual memory of rudiments - the “alphabet” of drumming - while making it simple, fun and fast.

Pure gold for drummers. Gold Drums brings drum tuning, timing, groove, and practice pad exercises together in one app. Describe your drum setup and the sound you are looking for, and get an AI-generated tuning with recommended pitches and relationships between the batter and resonant heads. Use it as a musical starting point, then adjust every drum to suit your kit, room, and playing style. The built-in tuner uses your microphone to help you match each lug precisely, compare pitches, and keep your tuning consistent. Save your favourite setups and quickly return to sounds that work. Practise with a versatile metronome. Start with a simple click, explore different rhythms and time signatures, build looping sequences with changing bars, mute sections for inner-time practice, or create tempo workouts that gradually increase the BPM. Need something new to play? Generate drum grooves in different styles and time signatures, or create your own patterns from scratch. Listen to them, play along at your tempo, explore practice variations, and share or export grooves for later. Take your practice pad further with exercises for note timing, sight reading, and hand balance. Play along with the click and get feedback on your timing. Generate snare notation to practise and play for a score, or work through stickings and compare scores for your right and left hands. Whether you are tuning before a session, working on your timing, or looking for fresh practice ideas, Gold Drums keeps everything in one place.
