Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Connectionary at 100% against Antitype's 51%. Connectionary also leads on price (Free vs $3.99). Antitype's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 3.7) and ads (none vs shown). On update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Connectionary is free to download; Antitype costs $3.99 up front. Antitype sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Connectionary sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Antitype holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Antitype has 965 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of Antitype's written reviews are positive against 100% of Connectionary's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Antitype ships an update every 3 weeks, Connectionary fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
