Point your camera at something and Scrapped tells you which bin it goes in. Recycle, compost, or garbage. It runs on your phone. You don't need an account or internet, and no photo leaves your device. A plastic container is recycling if it's rigid and rinsed, garbage if it's a bag or a wrapper or covered in grease. Scrapped asks you instead of guessing.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Scrapped at 5.0 against Notify NYC's 3.3. Notify NYC's advantage is ratings volume (88 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13 vs 16.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Scrapped holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notify NYC has 88 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
